It's amazing how hysterical people can get about these issues when they don't even know what they are talking about. Besides the AK47 not being very powerful (which I just learned, thanks) it's even less accurate. Other automatic weapons are more powerful. Even semiautomatics could land more hits in the right spot faster than an AK47.
