It's your turn, Democrats. Do something useful.
OK, Democrats, very soon you will have control of the Senate, the House of Representatives, the White House, and at least some new Federal Courts.
Guess what? YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE. Whatever happens in the next four years, IT'S YOUR FAULT. Don't even think of trying to blame it on the Republicans, or anyone else.
Democrats, PUT UP OR SHUT UP. Turn this country into a paradise of peace, freedom, prosperity and justice, or get the hell out.
Because you know what? We could have had Ron Paul. That's right, don't blame me, I voted for Ron Paul.
The Republican blew it when they had control of the Senate, the House of Representatives, the White House, and at least some new Federal Courts. It's time people woke up to see what a scam this two-party stranglehold is on our political process.

545 PEOPLE
RE-ELECT NOBODY
… regardless of your party affiliation
545 PEOPLE
100 senators + 435 congressmen + 1 president + 9 Supreme Court justices = 545
By Charlie Reese
Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper.
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
100 senators, 435 congressmen, 1 president, and 9 Supreme Court justices - 545 human beings out of 300 million - are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board, because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept it … or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislators' responsibility to determine how they vote.
Those 545 people spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? She is the leader of the majority party. Fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto … if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.
If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ, it's because they want them in IRAQ.
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the rest of the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like 'the economy,' 'inflation,' or 'politics' that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses - provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

CNN interviews Ron Paul
CNN, your so-called 'debate' was nothing more than a McCain-Romney dog & pony show. A pretty boring show, since neither McCain nor Romney have anything particularly original, sincere, or workable to offer. It would have been more honest of CNN to exclude Ron Paul completely, since obviously that was their intention.

The Last Debate Invitation for Ron Paul? Open reply to Jim Geraghty
Jim Geraghty of 'the campaign spot' at National Review Online seems to be in a big hurry to get rid of Ron Paul. So here's my reply to him:
Jim,
I have a few things to say in response to some things you said in your article, 'The Last Debate Invitation for Ron Paul?'":
"Now, I was among those saying 'hey, let’s keep Ron Paul around' in the last debate."
Gee, That was mighty white of you. Is it me, or do you sound really patronizing? How much influence did you really have in that decision?
"And it would be wrong for CNN to rescind an offered invitation."
Yes, it would. Although CNN's 'debate' basically amounted to a rescinded invitation for Dr. Paul, since they didn't really let him speak.
"But the next debate after Super Tuesday really ought to be at least a three man stage, if not a two-man one."
Says who? Why are you so eager to get rid of Ron Paul? He hasn't had a fair hearing in the media YET.
"I can imagine the tide of angry e-mails from Ron Paul folks as I write this, but if he hasn’t broken out in the first 20 debates (I’m not exaggerating, tonight is the twentieth Republican debate) then I don’t think it’s going to happen for him in the 21st. "
All of those so-called debates were utter garbage. Ron Paul has been given very little time to speak compared to his opponents. His opponents have been allowed to interrupt him with comments and childish snickering. When the text polls show him winning the debate, some idiot like Hannity claims that it was the result of cheating.
"Of course, there's another question inherent in this... do we really need a 21st debate? I suppose if the race really has come down to McCain vs. Romney, we ought to see them go nose-to-nose. But we're reaching the point where everything that these guys need to say has been said. Let's vote and get this over with."
Do we really need a 21st debate? Yes, all the previous debates have been utter propaganda crap, just like your article. It's not over yet, and it ISN'T down to McCain vs. Romney, who don't have anything original, or particularly honest, to say.

Did Ron Paul Win Louisiana?
Ron Paul May Have Won Louisiana
It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that campaign for Republican US Presidential candidate Ron Paul is questioning results of this week's Louisiana Caucus. After all, this is the state that failed miserably to protect its citizens from the wrath of Hurricane Katrina (both before and after), pays its law enforcement officers the absolute lowest salaries, and has issued "sealed" arrest warrants for a few dozen online gambling operators after presumably coming under pressure from local casinos. The later became the State's number one priority, it seemed, following Hurricane Katrina. Go figure!
Now comes word that they have botched this week's Republican caucus. Surprised? Why should we be?
The Ron Paul presidential campaign Thursday called on the Republican Party of Louisiana to count all the ballots submitted in the state’s January 22 caucus.
“The failure of the Louisiana GOP to properly determine who was and wasn’t eligible to vote threw this entire process into disarray,” said Ron Paul campaign manager Lew Moore. “The party needs to correct this mistake by counting all the votes immediately, and releasing the results.”
Due to mistakes by the Louisiana GOP, hundreds of voters were forced to file provisional ballots, including nearly 500 that could change the outcome of the election. According to party officials, caucus locations relied on a voter list from November 1, 2007 despite the fact that under caucus rules, voters must have registered Republican by November 30, 2007. The Louisiana Secretary of State reports that 2,709 Louisiana residents registered as Republican between November 1, 2007 and November 30, 2007.
In multiple instances, state-certified Ron Paul delegates that were on the ballot were forced to file a provisional ballot despite the fact they were pre-approved as delegates.
The Louisiana State GOP also changed the rules at the last minute to allow other candidates to file more delegates. At the time of the original January 10 deadline, Ron Paul had the largest number of delegates pledged to him. The party then changed the rules to give other candidates until January 12 to file more delegates.
Just how important is the Louisiana Caucus?
Ron Paul supporter, Darryl DeMaris, explained to Gambling911.com its significance in the whole scheme of things.
"I was on the ballot and understand the process here. The big problem with the Caucus is that registered Republicans as of Nov. 30 were allowed to take part, but the LA GOP only had a list current as of Nov. 1st. Many Ron Paul supporters had not changed parties by that time, but had (done so) by the 30th deadline. Over 500 of the 10,000 voters were provisional.
"The provisional ballots are key and could swing up to 31 national delegates Ron Paul's way. 31 would put him in second or third nationwide at this point."

Ron Paul Campaign to Louisiana GOP: Count All the Votes
January 24, 2008 4:12 pm EST
State party blunders put caucus results in question
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – Today, the Ron Paul presidential campaign calls on the Republican Party of Louisiana to count all the ballots submitted in the state’s January 22 caucus.
“The failure of the Louisiana GOP to properly determine who was and wasn’t eligible to vote threw this entire process into disarray,” said Ron Paul campaign manager Lew Moore. “The party needs to correct this mistake by counting all the votes immediately, and releasing the results.”

The Drug Czar is required by law to lie
Most people know that the "drug czar" -- the director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) -- is an advocate for the government position regarding the drug war. But not everyone knows that he and his office are mandated to tell lies as part of their Congressional authorization.
According to Title VII Office of National Drug Control Policy Reauthorization Act of 1998: H11225:
Responsibilities. --The Director-- [...]
(12) shall ensure that no Federal funds appropriated to the Office of National Drug Control Policy shall be expended for any study or contract relating to the legalization (for a medical use or any other use) of a substance listed in schedule I of section 202 of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 812) and take such actions as necessary to oppose any attempt to legalize the use of a substance (in any form) that--
is listed in schedule I of section 202 of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 812); and
has not been approved for use for medical purposes by the Food and Drug Administration;

Why doesn't Fox News want to include Ron Paul?
Maybe they're afraid he'll win.
To hell with Fox News. Sean Hannity, you are NOT a great American. You are a Neocon Loyalist sock puppet.
Boycott Fox News' sponsors, dump News Corp stock. Time to vote NO with our wallets.

Can we boycott Fox News straight out of business?
Fox News is horrible. Fair and balanced? Not hardly.
Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly have been rude and dismissive, when not openly hostile, to Ron Paul.
Now it appears that he is the only Republican candidate not invited to their debate.
Fox News deserves a good boycott. Not that the other media outlets are that much better, most of them deserve to ignored and boycotted.
It looks like their stock is dropping. Looks like a good trend to me.
Sean Hannity, you are NOT a great American. Bill O'Reilly, SHUT UP. Rush Limbaugh, you're a RINO.
If any of the other candidates had enough honor, integrity, or strength of character they'd denounce and boycott the debate for the travesty that it is. I'll be really surprised if that happens.

Don't let Fox News censor Ron Paul
From the good folks at Downsize DC:
2007-Dec-29
The Public Must Hear the DC Downsizer Perspective on the Issues
Tell your friends about this campaign!Has Ron Paul been banned from FoxNews?
Who will win the Presidential campaign? DownsizeDC.org takes no position.
But we must applaud when a presidential candidate agrees with us!
And when only one candidate speaks up for Downsizing DC, his voice should be included in media-run debates and forums.
Let us show you what we mean. There are six major Republican candidates. Rudolph Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and Fred Thompson.
Repeal the Real ID Act - only Ron Paul speaks for that.
Stop the War in Iraq - only Ron Paul speaks for that.
Federal Deficit tied to Congressional Pay Cut - only Ron Paul speaks for that.
Repeal the Patriot Act - only Ron Paul speaks for that.
Honest Money - only Ron Paul speaks for that.
Enumerated Powers Act - only Ron Paul speaks for that.
And we save the best for last. The American Freedom Agenda Act, which would . . .
Repeal the “Military Commissions Act of 2007” and thereby restore the ancient right of habeas corpus and end legally sanctioned torture by U.S. government agents
Restore the ”Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act” (FISA) and thereby outlaw warrantless spying on American citizens by the President of the United States
Give Congress standing in court to challenge the President's use of "signing statements" as a means to avoid executing the nation's laws
Make it illegal for government agents to kidnap people and send them abroad to be tortured by foreign governments
Provide legal protection to journalists who expose wrong-doing by the Federal government
Prohibit the use of secret evidence to label groups or individuals as terrorists for the purpose of criminal or civil sanctions
. . . only Ron Paul speaks for these issues. In fact, he introduced the bill!
These issues need a voice. You can send a message to Congress on any of them.
But they need to be included in debates and forums. The American people need to learn about the smaller government perspective. Censorship of these very American ideas is unacceptable.
FoxNews, and many in the Republican establishment, have made it clear, repeatedly, that they don't want a candidate saying such things. And now . . .
According to the New Hampshire State Republican Party and an Associated Press report, Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul will be excluded from an upcoming forum of Republican candidates to be broadcast by Fox News on January 6, 2008.
This won't be a debate. The candidates will be questioned by Chris Wallace (host of FoxNews Sunday), around a table, in a studio on the campus of St. Anselm College. The program will include Giuliani, Huckabee, McCain, Romney, and Thompson.
Do you notice who is missing from that list?
The candidate who would tell the world about Downsize DC issues!
"They Decide. We Report."
Now you know. Now you get to call them on it.
It's not the candidate that matters. It's the message. This message must not be snuffed out by FoxNews censorship. Time is short. Take action and tell them now!
